Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group associate Raquel Vallejo, Esq. has been sworn in as a Trustee for the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, representing Union County. Ms. Vallejo was recognized at HBA-NJ’s 34th Annual Installation and Swearing-In Ceremony, held October 30 at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Hills, NJ.
The Hispanic Bar Association’s goal is to foster a more diverse legal landscape and to address the many issues that affect the Hispanic community in New Jersey. Each year, the HBA-NJ Board of Trustees work to develop programming to educate the New Jersey legal community about how to best partner and respond to the needs of the Hispanic community.
Ms. Vallejo graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2004. While earning her degree, she provided legal aid services in the areas of matrimonial and family law to Essex, Morris and Union County residents. Ms. Vallejo’s law practice is solely dedicated to all areas of family law. She has also served as a volunteer attorney for the Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter through its legal advocacy program where she represented clients in numerous domestic violence proceedings.
Ms. Vallejo is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
