Valerie S. Newcomb is a family law attorney with Weinberger Divorce and Family Law Group, LLC. Ms. Newcomb provides her clients with exceptional legal guidance and counsel in all aspects of their family and matrimonial law matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, dissolution of civil partnerships, adoption, and related legal matters.

Whether their matter requires litigation or can be negotiated, Ms. Newcomb zeroes in on strategic solutions that address her clients’ unique needs and goals, including the safeguarding of her clients’ children.
Before joining Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, Ms. Newcomb represented divorce and family law clients for nearly 15 years as managing attorney at Spino & Newcomb, LLC, a firm she founded in 2009. Prior to establishing her own firm, she honed her skills as an associate attorney in private practice, gaining valuable experience in the field. Ms. Newcomb’s clients immediately feel the confidence and mastery she has developed from successfully handling countless divorce and family matters over the years.
Ms. Newcomb is a graduate of Delaware Law School of Widener University. During law school, she worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Idee C. Fox in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and also served a summer clerkship with the Honorable Matthew D. Carrafiello in Philadelphia, experiences which helped her lay the foundation for her exceptional skills in court procedures and judicial outcomes. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Newcomb worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Thomas P. Kelly, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, Family Part, in Trenton, New Jersey. Through her clerkship with Judge Kelly, Ms. Newcomb fully immersed herself in matrimonial and family matters, including pendente lite matters, divorce, custody, visitation rights, child support and domestic violence. The experience provided her with advanced understanding of how to craft compelling arguments and the reasoning behind court decisions. She still draws from this valuable knowledge today when assisting her clients.
Ms. Newcomb is admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is a leader in the family law community as evidenced by her long term memberships in professional organizations including the Nicholas A. Cipriani American Inns of Court, where she served as Executive Secretary for two consecutive terms.
A devoted community advocate, Ms. Newcomb contributes to those in need through pro bono work. She has also previously participated as a big sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program.
Ms. Newcomb lives in South Jersey with her husband, twins and two sheepadoodles. She enjoys the closeness of her community and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Enjoying the outdoors, game nights and good books are a must.
