Hillary Piedra is a family law attorney at Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC. Ms. Piedra exclusively focuses her practice on family law matters, including but not limited to, divorce, child custody, parenting time, domestic violence, alimony, equitable distribution, post-dissolution and other matrimonial matters. In addition to representing clients in contested matters, Hillary also represents clients in a full array of post-judgment matters, including property or marital settlement agreement enforcement, college contribution disputes, modifications of alimony or child support and appeals from unfavorable judgments. Additionally, she assists clients in negotiating prenuptial agreements to protect premarital assets, income, family assets and future inheritances.

Ms. Piedra has prior legal experience handling residential real estate law. Her family law knowledge coupled with her understanding of real estate legal procedure has helped her guide her clients through the division of assets, including real property.

Ms. Piedra received her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During her law school career, she served as secretary of her school’s Family Law Society and focused her studies primarily in the family law realm. Ms. Piedra clerked for the Honorable Judge Thomas M. Lynch, VI of the 17th Judicial Circuit, where she gained a better insight of different areas of substantive law and procedural issues that helped shape her knowledge of the legal field and pushed her in the direction of practicing family law.

Ms. Piedra is a member of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association and the Morris County Bar Association.

Outside of the legal realm, Hillary enjoys spending time with her husband and teaching Spin classes.
