Emily A. Mari Profile

Emily  A.  Mari  is  an  attorney  with Weinberger  Divorce  &  Family Law  Group.  Ms.  Mari, after receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law she served  as  a  judicial  law  clerk  to  the  Honorable  Eugene  A. Iadanza,  J.S.C.,  in  the Superior  Court  of  New  Jersey,  Monmouth  County.  Ms.  Mari is admitted to the New Jersey Bar, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, and the State of Pennsylvania. She has also attained a Civil Litigation Certification. During her third year of law  school, Ms. Mari  participated  in  a  Family  Law  Clinic in  which  she  represented indigent  clients  and argued their cases before the judiciary of Alleghany County.

Following her clerkship, Ms. Mari began practicing matrimonial law and has successfully handled  a  variety  of  complex  cases  including  contested  issues  of  custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution of assets, domestic violence matters, and  adoptions.  She  has  also  provided  guidance  to  families  who  are  involved  with  the Division  of  Child  Protection  and  Permanency.  Additionally,  she  has experience  in Residential  Real  Estate  and  has  handled  closings,  short  sales,  refinancing  and  loan modifications. This experience is invaluable knowledge as the majority of families must determine how to divide their home during a divorce.

Ms.  Mari  has  been  the  Recipient  of  the CALI  Award  in  Alternative  Dispute  Resolution and served as the Topics Editor and Editor of the Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law. She also served as Vice President of the Pitt Law Women’s Society. She is a  member  of  the  Monmouth  Bar  Association,  Young  Lawyers’  Division  and  the  Family Section of the New Jersey State Bar. She has also completed the Hayden Proctor Inns of Court.

Ms.  Mari’s  interest  in  family  law  comes  from  her  commitment  to helping  others  while they are going through a difficult process. She brings a high level of compassion to her practice.
