Raquel Vallejo received her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2004. While attending law school, Ms. Vallejo was chosen to be a member of the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice where she provided legal aid services in the areas of matrimonial and family law to Essex, Morris and Union County residents. After Ms. Vallejo's graduation from law school she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas P. Zampino, J.S.C., Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County Family Part for the calendar year 2004-2005. Prior to attending law school Ms. Vallejo, as a Henry Rutgers Scholar, received an undergraduate dual degree with Honors in Political Science and Spanish from Rutgers University in 1999.
Ms. Vallejo has experience with all facets of family law litigation, including complex contested issues of custody, parenting time, child support, alimony and equitable distribution of assets. Ms. Vallejo has also served as a volunteer attorney for the Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter through its legal advocacy program where she represented clients in numerous domestic violence proceedings. She continues to zealously advocate for victims and the wrongfully accused today.
Ms. Vallejo is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
