Lyan Hummell is an attorney with Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group. She received her Juris Doctorate from Campbell Law School. Prior to law school she studied at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated magna cum laude. Ms. Hummell also attended the University of Strathclyde, Jordanhill, Glasgow, Scotland to intensely study in Britain's social service delivery system for children involved in the court and Rutgers Law School.
After graduation Ms. Hummell immediately began practicing as a litigator in the private sector with a strong emphasis on family law. More than a decade later, Ms. Hummell continues to concentrate her legal knowledge on all issues relating to family law. As a first generation American born to Cuban parents, Ms. Hummell is proudly involved in the Hispanic community and the Hispanic Bar Association.
Ms. Hummell is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a member of the Hudson County Bar Association and Bergen County Bar Association.
Ms. Hummell is an enthusiastic, creative and passionate legal professional dedicated to all facets of family law litigation. Ms. Hummell is also an accomplished attorney that has practiced in areas of law that are ancillary to family law such as bankruptcy, residential real estate, personal injury and will and estates. Such diverse and eclectic practice experience has afforded Ms. Hummell the ability to offer clients a broad range of advice and counsel.
Lyan Hummell has established her extensive legal career firmly based upon the principals of diligence, compassion and zealous advocacy to clients. As a divorced mother of two children, Lyan Hummell is uniquely able to blend her skilled legal counsel to clients with her personal understanding of the intricacies of all legal issues relating to divorce and family law matters.
