In 2007, Alan E. Ryman received his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law. Previously, he interned for the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, Trial Division, and Law Office of Tyler Fox. Alan was an intern for Honorable Kenneth Desmond, East Boston Division, Boston Municipal Court Department, and Law Clerk to Honorable Ann R. Bartlett, Hunterdon County Superior Court, Family Division 2007 - 2008.

Alan is a court qualified and trained Family Law Mediator and a trained Collaborative Divorce Attorney.

Alan serves as a panelist at the Somerset and Hunterdon County family courts. As a panelist, Alan volunteers his time to the Early Settlement Panel program. This is the process whereby qualified family law attorneys volunteer their time to offer neutral recommendations to litigants and their attorneys who have not yet settled their matters in the hopes of assisting them in reaching a resolution to their outstanding issues.

Alan has been a member of the District XII Family Law Inns of Court.
