Ms. Mulrey is highly experienced in all aspects of New Jersey family law, including divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, complex asset valuation, adoptions, domestic violence, and all other family law matters. She has been described as both a bulldog and an angel in light of her unwavering dedication to her clients and the relief she adamantly pursues and successfully obtains on their behalf. Ms. Mulrey has assisted victims of domestic violence in seeking protection from abuse, in addition to defending clients against false allegations of abuse. She has also, and with equal zeal, handled claims of child abuse and neglect. Her zeal for helping clients through such critical times is resolute and reflected in her volunteer work for Partners for Women and Justice, a non-profit organization that provides free legal help to low income, abused women in New Jersey in domestic violence and family law matters.

Ms. Mulrey has also developed great proficiency in the area of appellate practice and procedure, having appeared before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. Mulrey’s training, legal research and writing skills, as well as her educational and professional experiences, have rendered her an effective appellate advocate, skilled at identifying and pursuing the best appellate grounds to ensure the greatest chance of success on appeal.

In addition to her matrimonial practice, Ms. Mulrey has gained vast experience, knowledge, and skill in the defense of both state and federal crimes since the conclusion of her clerkship with the New Jersey Supreme Court. She has handled matters of varying degree and complexity from the investigatory and charging phase up through and including trial and sentencing, and has defended white-collar and non-white collar cases alike in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York.  In light of the fact that she has developed expansive knowledge and skill as a criminal litigator, she offers a unique benefit to clients who may need assistance with criminal law matters that accompany or transcend family law disputes

Ms. Mulrey is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law – Newark. a published author and law lecturer, and has been named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers – Rising Star list for over a decade. She is a member of the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association as an Approved Attorney.
